MESSAGE FROM FOUNDING PRESIDENT

It is my pleasure to welcome all members connected to Danish academic institutions as part of DanB. I am truly delighted to see the “Denmark Alumni Network Bangladesh” (DANB) not only come into existence, but also take shape with a clear structure and meaningful activities. While this initiative originated from an idea I envisioned in 2019, it has become a reality through a genuine collaboration between all of us, the Danish Embassy, and DANIDA.

I fondly recall the dinner at the Danish Ambassador’s residence, where I first proposed the idea of creating a network for Bangladeshi professionals and scholars with ties to Denmark. The Ambassador immediately supported the initiative, and I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude for her unwavering support throughout the years.

The primary goal of DANB is to foster networking and personal development through opportunities linked to Denmark. Moreover, this network has the potential to contribute to the socio-economic development of Bangladesh by forging connections with Danish institutions and initiatives that focus on Bangladesh.

I am confident that Bangladeshi professionals and scholars with ties to Denmark will make the most of this network and take it to new heights.

I would like to extend my sincere thanks to the founding executive members of DANB for their dedication, time, and effort in making this network a success.

Finally, I invite all individuals with a connection to Denmark to join our initiative and contribute to its growth.

"Every initiative begins with a single step, but its impact can last indefinitely." I look forward to seeing DANB flourish and wish all our members the very best as they explore opportunities to make a lasting contribution.

MESSAGE FROM THE DANISH AMBASSADOR

I would like to take this opportunity to first express my admiration for the important work that the Denmark Alumni Network Bangladesh (DANB) is doing in fostering deeper connections between Denmark and Bangladesh, and for continuing to be ambassadors of the strong and enduring ties between our two nations.

As the Danish Ambassador to Bangladesh, I have had the privilege of witnessing first-hand the profound impact that Danish education and partnerships have had on the development of Bangladesh. Over the years, many Bangladeshis have studied in Denmark, contributed to both our societies, and developed an even greater understanding of Danish culture, values, and innovations. This community of alumni represents not only the academic success of the individuals but also the success of the broader collaboration between our two countries.

The Danish government has always placed great emphasis on fostering human connections through educational exchange and collaboration, believing that it is through people-to-people ties that the most sustainable and meaningful relationships can be built. DANB plays an instrumental role in this, bridging the gap between the Danish and Bangladeshi people and nurturing the relationships that have grown out of these exchanges.

To all members of DANB, your continued engagement in this association is essential for ensuring that these connections remain strong and dynamic. The knowledge and experiences you have gained during your time in Denmark serve as a valuable asset for both Bangladesh and Denmark. Whether you are in the fields of business, academia, or public service, you are playing an important role in driving forward the shared goals of prosperity, innovation, and sustainability.

I encourage all of you to stay involved in DANB, to mentor younger alumni, and to actively contribute to the future of this unique network. I am confident that with your continued dedication and leadership, we will continue to build on the foundation of shared knowledge, trust, and friendship.

With warm regards,

Christian Brix Møller,
Danish Ambassador to Bangladesh
